Addison, Texas is just north of downtown Dallas, and is chock full of residential developments, entertainment districts and endless dining options to satisfy cravings of all kinds. Located in the heart of Addison at the Dallas North Tollway and Spring Valley Road is International Plaza. The plaza is a 354,182 sq ft, 13-story, Class A office building complete with a lake house retreat, café, executive conference center, game area, maker space, servery, dining and collaboration areas. Scott + Reid General Contractors did a beautiful job bringing this project to life, and they called on the Signature Illumination Designs team to complete all electrical and lighting for the project.
We worked with the team at Scott + Reid to develop a customized lighting solution for this property from start to finish. Our plan included lighting designs for tree lighting, security lighting and aesthetic exterior lighting, as well as interior lighting fixtures and accents throughout the building.Located in a competitive business district with demanding commercial tenants, International Plaza had to stand out from the other offerings in the area. To draw prospective tenants into the building, our team started by creating a beautiful exterior lighting solution. We installed a combination of downlights and uplights in the trees, pathlights along the walkways, submersible lights in the pond and security lights along the façade of the building.
We were especially excited to work on the ‘lake house’ area, designed for people to take a break from their desks and work by the water, or to relax and gather with others. The lake house contains a large seating area with tables, benches, and chairs for relaxation.
We wanted the tenants of International Plaza to be able to use this space for evening events and gatherings, so we added downlights on the awnings and submersible LEDs in the pond so the space can be safely used at night.
With a wide range of amenities and community spaces, International Plaza is designed for people to gather, create, and innovate.
